Blake Scholl is the founder and CEO of Boom Supersonic, a company building the Overture supersonic airliner. He previously worked as a software engineer at Amazon in the early 2000s and founded a mobile e-commerce company acquired by Groupon. He started Boom in 2014 after teaching himself aerospace engineering, and the company's XB1 prototype became the first independently developed jet to break the sound barrier in 2024.
